Birthday Mystery

Your blind folded siting on a wooden stool. You wait, but your not sure why. Your very impatient, and it feels like you've been here forever. You can hear the quiet buzzing of the light in the room. Then suddenly the light turns off. You know you weren’t in the room alone. You hear the creak of someone walking up behind you. The thunk of porcelain on wood in front of you. The, from behind, someone removes your blindfold. "Happy Birthday" everyone in the room says. Oh god, you think to yourself. You hate birthday parties, even your own. You blow out the candles on the cake with black icing. On the top, the words "Happy Birthday" are written in pink icing. The party starts and everyone comes up and wishes you a happy birthday. You never could understand why people celebrate the anniversary of the most traumatic experience in your life. You try to look for an excuse to get away, and it arrives in the form of a phone ringing. You leave the room to answer it, and find out its your dad. "I’m sorry can't be at your birthday party, I'm really busy with work" he says. It's not like you cared. You hear the sound of the doorbell ringing, and go to answer it. It's your dad. "I thought you said you were busy with work" you tell him. He is confused and says "I lost my job last week."
THEN WHO WAS PHONE?!?
